Dear
Colleagues,
It is our great pleasure to invite you to
Taipei for the 4th World
Congress of Pediatric
Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (WCPGHAN)
during November 14-18, 2012.
The theme of the 4th WCPGHAN is “Upbeat
on Child Health: Digestion of Science, Technology, and Care”.
Taiwan has made great advances in pediatric
gastroenterology,
hepatology and nutrition, and the island continues to
participate actively in international activities. With the
coordination of the Federation of International Societies of
Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (FISPGHAN)
and its sister-societies, we are working hard to design
state-of-the-art scientific programs, and to provide a
world-class venue for sharing knowledge and clinical
experiences as well as discussing the most recent
developments and discoveries in these fields.
With the participation of distinguished
experts from all over the world, participants will have the
opportunity to attend programs which reflect progressive
scientific research, advanced standards of clinical
practice, and global technical movements, and they will also
have the chance to
present original work. The congress will be
accompanied by industry-supported
satellite symposia and exhibitions, making it a notable event for all fellows
and professionals in the fields.
Taiwan is known
for its array of mountains, soaring forests, natural
settings, and cultural
essences, all of which comprise its magnificent
beauty. Because of these, early Portuguese sailors named the
island as ‘Ilha Formosa ', or “Beautiful Island”. Taiwan is
conveniently situated at
the crossroads of Northeast and Southeast Asia, on
one of the air traffic hubs in the world. Taipei, its
capital, is a vibrant city, with a fascinating blend of
tradition and modernity. In November, autumn weather is
pleasant and comfortable in Taiwan, bidding everyone to
enjoy Taiwan’s hospitality, culture and cuisine.
All the best and see you in Taipei at the
WCPGHAN 2012! |
